How I started
Hello! I’m Chef Sallie Lardy. In 2010 I launched Cuisine by Sallie after leaving a career in Information Technology to pursue my passion for cooking. The customer service skills I acquired while in the corporate world as well as my love of teaching adults have been instrumental in building my client base. Most of my new clients are acquired through referrals from existing or former clients. I've been blessed to cook for the best clients in the world!
Although relatively new to the culinary profession, this native Texan has a flair for creating unique and flavorful dishes that engage the most discerning of palates. I receive inspiration for my dishes from my family recipes as well as the various cultures and cuisines encountered during my years of corporate and leisure travels.
After my sweet husband Ron passed away in 2013, I closed my business and become a private chef. After working as a personal chef for multiple clients for the past few years, I am now working exclusively as a private chef. On a limited basis, I still offer small event (under 20 guests) catering, virtual and in-home cooking classes, as well as answer food-related questions and create recipes on request. I am also a recipe developer and guest blogger for various food related websites, and am working on launching my own line of custom herb and spice blends and several cookbook projects. Stay tuned!
