Connect. Cook. Create.
Looking for a way to learn new kitchen skills and make new friends, or share a cooking experience with family and friends across the country, or even the world? A Virtual Feast is a new online cooking community that is more than just cooking classes. Beginning October 16, virtual classes will be available for free. While some classes are open to an unlimited number, others will be limited to 10-15 people, depending on the topic, complexity and menu.
My vision for these classes is to encourage "freestyle cooking". Once basic cooking techniques are mastered, participants should be able to take any recipe and make it their own, using ingredients they have on hand. These will not be your typical cooking classes. It's more like spending an afternoon or evening cooking with friends, enjoying conversation (maybe a glass of wine) and laughter - reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
While there will be cooking classes offered, I will also offer opportunities for online discussions, Chef Q&A's, demos, and also a little friendly competition! Check out the events scheduled through the end of the year, and sign up for the ones you're interested in. For the cooking classes, I'll publish menus, ingredient lists, recommended equipment/supplies and recipes the week before the scheduled class. Questions about subsitutions, allergy concerns, etc can be sent to me directly by email, direct message on the Facebook group, or can be posted in the comments for each event.
Looking for a smaller, more specific class for your group? Private Virtual Classes also available for individuals as well as groups.
